With Nike backing Converse the brand has been given access to the tech that has made Nike SB into a skater brand that is accepted by the community.

This drop of the Converse Breakpoint is styled a lot like a Bruin, but is basically a Converse Pro Leather given a tougher disposition and upgraded with Lunarlon Technology. The candy cane laces add another dimension to what is really a clean pair of kicks.

The shoes are rugged enough to grab a board, but stylish enough to throw on a pair of jeans and to wear daily. Here is the description from the site and a few more pics. Use the source link to grab a pair via eBay.

DOUBLE DOWN ON DURABILITY

The Converse Breakpoint Pro Suede Backed Canvas is a double-layered skate sneaker designed for durability. The suede bottom layer only pops through after you put this thing through serious wear and tear. There’s also a molded heel counter for fit and a Nike Lunarlon insole. The traction rubber outsole offers powerful grip.

BENEFITS

  • Suede-backed canvas upper for extra durability
  • Molded heel counter for superior fit
  • Nike Lunarlon insole for cushioning
  • Traction rubber outsole

BREAKPOINT PRO

“Designed for skate functionality” means this sneaker won’t let you down. The Breakpoint Pro is inspired by retro tennis sneakers, but it’s been redesigned to absorb impact and maintain control. It should prove useful, because we don’t recommend you skate without shoes.
