Craig Ehlo… that’s the name that always pops in my head when I hear or see the Air Jordan 4. I can see Jordan jumping in the air after taking the life out of the Cavaliers. The Cavs wouldn’t be relevant again until a new #23 arrived.
The Retro 4 is linked to my life in such an intricate way. A Larry Bird jersey stepping on a pair of Buggin Out’s kicks in Do The Right Thing, an unattainable sneaker for an adidas head, I always thought of the Bred 4 as the ultimate shoe. It was workman like in its build and fly enough for any moment. Unfortunately when the shoe released I was on my way to the Navy and my shoe choice would be dominated by Chukka and Steel toe boots. By the time I was able to wear what I wanted the cross trainer phase was hitting and I was rocking Air Mowabb ACGs (brown/purple). My adidas had taken a backseat because I needed a hardcore walking shoe in Singapore and Hong Kong.
