New Balance continues to win. After standing with Boris Berian in his fight against Nike, New Balance takes its PF Flyer brand ownership and establishes that Nike owned Converse doesn’t have a right to patent the traditional rubber tie and stripe outsole look of the All Star. Considering the multiple brands used the same layout when athletic footwear came into existence it seems slightly arrogant for Converse and Nike to attempt to establish ownership of such a common design element from the origins of footwear.
