It makes me feel some kind of way that I’ve put my Cole Haan Lunargrands to the side for the adidas NMD_R1. I meant I built up this dope collection which includes the Fragment Lunargrand and I don’t even pull them out of the boxes anymore. This isn’t about the NMD though, it’s about this deconstructed Asics Onitsuka Samsara that I peeped on KITH.

Simplicity is always the name of the game. I think brands are doing a masterful job of creating kicks for my generation. OG sneaker culture guys who no longer get the thrill of waking up super early to chase down a pair. What we are doing is transitioning. We are parents, but we aren’t our fathers.

We want to pull up on a kid rocking a pair of Js and make that kid say, damn old head is fresh as f–k. Now it takes a lot for that to happen, but I know that the right pair of kicks stands out and puts everyone who is attempting to flex on notice. This pair of almost seamless perforated leather trainers is distinct and eye catching and with the subtle branding the shoes can easily replace my Cole Haan just like the NMD has… but I’m growing tired of the NMD and I think these have just the grown man steez that makes me feel some kind of way.
