The one thing Jordan Brand and Nike have had to consider the last two years is when and where the Yeezy drops would arrive. The brand actually moved its Jordan 11 launch to early November against every unwritten rule of sneaker culture history. The Retro 11 has always been associated with XMas and this year that remains true, but in a year where the brand has struggled to connect with the culture, dropping consecutive 11s in back to back months had to happen especially when adidas is delivering on a promise of increased Yeezy drops.
This isn’t about Jordan Brand though… it’s about Yeezy and the upcoming release dates of a shoe that is now becoming synonymous with the holidays. Will this be the year that adidas decides to deliver the Yeezy in more commercial numbers? I mean they are delivering three colorways so this might be a significant play by the Three Stripes.
